Queer Film Festival Utrecht invites you for our opening night on Friday, August 29th, at De Helling. We kick this year off screening Argentinian director Lola Arias’ energetic and deeply sincere genre-bending, voguing-filled docu/fiction/musical REAS (2024).
After seeing powerful imagination contest the confines of prison-walls, we join forces with experimental emancipation space PERRX—a hallmark for Utrecht’s latinx-queer club scene. Harboring Revolutionary Joy through activism and artistic expression, PERRX leads us deep into the night to the sound of latinx-queer music, from neoperreo, cumbia villera and salsa to category-defying tunes.
