Marleen – Jop Leuven (Netherlands, 7 mins)
Marleen is a short film in which Lena is in group therapy, and talks about three relationships that have defined her: with her father, her first boyfriend, and the unexpected date with Marleen. It’s the way Marleen looks at her that changes how Lena sees herself. Laura Bakker’s acting helped the film take home the prize for “Best lead short film” at Nederlands Film Festival 2024.
