About Queer Film Festival Utrecht (QFFU):

Queer Film Festival Utrecht (QFFU) is committed to celebrating queer cinema and supporting emerging queer film talent. Our mission is to increase the visibility and recognition of the queer community in the film world. Since 2019, QFFU is the leading festival for LGBTQ+ (queer) cinema in Utrecht. Not only on the big screen but also with inspiring side programs we try to bring our message even closer to the people.

Job Description:

As Head of Production at QFFU, you will be responsible for coordinating all aspects related to the venues of our festival. We are looking for a passionate professional with excellent organizational skills, an eye for detail and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the successful execution of our festival and support the queer community.

Responsibilities:

Venue Management:

• Actively make arrangements with festival venues. 
• Coordinate all production needs for various (side) programs in collaboration with the Head of Program.

Team Coordination:

• Manage floor managers and volunteers during the festival period to ensure that everything runs smoothly.
• Prepare schedules and overviews of arrangements.
• Maintain contact with ICT for technical needs.
• Ensure that all relevant stakeholders are aware of location related activities.

Details and Logistics:

• Pay attention to details, such as arrangement of decorations and availability of drinks and chairs for guests.
• Coordinate transportation-related matters.

This role is volunteer-based, with a volunteer compensation at the end of the festival, and a commitment of 4-6 hours/week, increasing leading up to the festival.

Qualifications:

• Excellent organizational and coordination skills;
• Communication and leadership skills to work effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders;
• Eye for detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities;
• Experience in site management or manufacturing is a plus.
