Shall I Compare You to a Summer’s Day?
September 4 @ 18:00
“If pain could be forgotten through words, no lover would ever have to walk away wounded.”
Based on his own love diary, Egyptian director Mohammed Shawky Hassan creates an experimental film that tells of a polyamorous love story in the style of One Thousand and One Nights. In this metafictional essay, a female narrator who wishes to tell the story of a love between two men encounters a polyamorous chorus of lovers, and this oft-told tale is multiplied in a virtual world of queer meeting-places.
A queer musical that applies the same playful approach to folk tales and Egyptian pop music alike.
