On the opening night of the fourth edition of the Queer Film Festival Utrecht, you can watch one of the most iconic queer cult films of all time: The Rocky Horror Picture Show. After the film, hang around for Utrecht’s oldest alternative queer party: Cruise Control.

Two innocent lovers discover a creepy mansion owned by Dr. Frank-N-Furter, a transvestite scientist from transsexual Transylvania. Throughout the story, the two lovers lose their sweet innocence to their lust and meet all sorts of wild and unusual characters. Among other things, they meet Frank-N-Furter’s newest creation: Rocky. The movie is full of dancing, rock songs and lip-syncing. It also celebrates sex and hedonism, even when it can lead to tragedy. Do you want to lose yourself in all the feelings that make your life worth living? Come see one of the most iconic queer classics of all times!

After the film, you can hang around for Utrecht’s oldest alternative queer party: Cruise Control. Since 2001, the Cruise Control DJs have been gender-bending everyone 180º back and forth. And not just for the Utrecht ho / he / whatever, their electropunk sound system blares from Zwarte Cross, Sniester and Paaspop to Berlin. With a hormonal mix of tousled beats, a spray of disco and a smattering of indy, Cruise Control will have you sweating until the glitter is in every fold of your skin. Hände hoch, Hose runter!
