Kicking off the festival with an exciting program at De Helling on September 1st, we are thrilled to collaborate with Queer in Wonderland. Category is: Queer Revolution. Dress like you start a queer revolution!
Queer in Wonderland is a queer intersectional transfeminist collective born in 2019 in Utrecht, from the urgency to have more safer spaces for our community in the local nightlife.
Irene Cassarini: ‘Our main goal is to create a welcoming space for our community to connect, explore, dance and have fun, while striving to raise awareness on socio-political issues that touch LGBTQIA+ people.This year’s we’re looking forward to our collaboration with the Utrecht Queer Film Festival. Opening the dances at De Helling on September 1st we are preparing a rich program to go along with the screening of Born in Flames. An exciting program with DJs, performances and queer art will make sure to start the festival with the right mood.’
