Two high school senior girls decide to hone into the rumors going around that they went to juvie. Set on having sex before they leave high school, they start a feminist ‘self-defense club’ in the hopes of impressing and hooking up with their cheerleader crushes. Described by the director as a “campy queer high school comedy in the vein of Wet Hot American Summer but more for a Gen-Z queer audience” the film both satirizes and pays homage to the raunchy teen sex comedies of the late ‘80s, ‘90s and early 2000s. 

Deemed ‘potentially alienating’ due to its overtly sexual lesbian premise, many studios rejected the film before ever properly hearing a pitch. Companies did not want their products featured in the film, and campuses refused to offer their space for filming, resulting in most of the film being shot in an abandoned elementary school. Yet, the film has been widely positively received, winning multiple awards and described as “sure to become a cult classic.”
