LE:EN * QFFU presents: Three Times Drag! (free entrance)

Three times drag! How about a “Drag Make Up” workshop by Queer Arcana, the short film Playback about drag culture in Argentina, and to top it off, drag entertainment and performances with Victoria Vyper, Cherry Poppins and Juice Divine.

The evening is free to attend (except the workshop)! But we ask you to join our Pay What You Want system: 50% of the revenues from this evening will go to Transzorg Nu Utrecht. 

Learn the art of Drag Make-Up (18:00-20:00)

Learning the art of Drag is an amazing journey in one’s life, but the threshold to start is often quite high! Queer Arcana Homebase offers the perfect place to start experimenting. Under the guidance of our wildly talented coördinators, you will learn basic and advanced makeup techniques. Play around with gender and expression as you transform into different versions of yourself! We provide everything you need to get going. We supply make, mirrors, and light. This is an entry level workshop, so no experience required! Sign up quickly as there are 10 spots available.

In Córdoba, far from the Argentine capital, the end of a military regime promises a spring that is all too brief. “La Delpi” is the only survivor of a group of friends who are transgender women and drag-queens, who began to die of aids in the late 80s. In a Catholic and conservative city, the Grupo Kalas made their weapons and trenches out of improvised dresses and lip-syncing. Today the images of unique and unknown footage are not only a farewell letter, but a manifesto to friendship.

Cherry Poppins and Victoria Vyper are two QUEENS from Utrecht. Together with Amy Astoria, they host the well-attended DRAG SHOW TRIPLE D in restaurant LE:EN. A show for Queer Utrecht, and everyone who cares about the queer community.

Cherry is a dramaturge and creative producer. she is known to us for her amazing expressive lip syncs, where her experience with theatre and dramaturgy always shines through.

Victoria Vyper is with Amy Astoria Absolutely Drag. She is known for her diversity, flawless looks and spot-on performances. Victoria makes almost all her own clothes. Her motto is ‘drag is politics’ and she carries it out whenever she can. Victoria has been organising events for Drag Queens for several years, including the boat during Pride Amsterdam. This year she and Amy performed in a self-produced theatre show.  

Especially for this occasion Victoria and Cherry are joined by Juice Divine. Juice has been a welcome face in the Utrecht Queer scene for years. A versatile drag queen, proud of her Moroccan roots and always in for a party.
