Homebody (outdoor cinema)

Has it never happened to you that your body is suddenly taken over by the child you are babysitting? In this film, Melanie’s last babysitting session ends very differently than planned when the babysit-child Johnny takes over her body. At first glance, it may seem like a lot of fun, but the further we get into the film, the more emotions the situation evokes for both Melanie and Johnny. Especially for Johnny, who is still very much in search of his gender, the spiritual quest seems to evoke a lot of emotions. Funny goes hand in hand with emotional scenes about what it is like in that other body. A film about gender, searching for your own body and trust, partly from the point of view of a 9-year-old. As a graduation film of NYU, Homebody has been broadcasted at several (queer) film festivals and this is your chance to admire the film!
